Bethany United Methodist Church Preschool will be accepting applications for the upcoming year 2009 – 2010 starting the 1st week of April. Your child must be three by August 31,2009.
Cost: 15.00 for registration fee
95.00 per month

News:
At this time, we have nineteen children enrolled in Preschool with another child enrolling in October. Financially, the Preschool is at a good place right now with some donations and a couple in the church sponsoring a child for the entire year. As the teacher of the Preschool, I have indeed been operating the Preschool on a shoestring budget and God has guided me along the way
The Preschool playground has been cleaned up. Moon Tillett Fish Company employees came out and cloroxed the vinyl fence and removed the grass from the mulched area. Mr. Ken Doughty has offered to donate some mulch to the area. That will be spread in the near future. Carl Beacham and Kurt Daniels have made the wood swing set sturdier and installed new anchors for the swings. Billy Carl Tillett made a new climbing net and rope ladder for the Preschoolers. It is good to see husbands and Preschool parents involved in making our playground safe for the children. These children are precious to us and their safety is important to the school.
The Preschool has been in session three weeks. The children have been learning to trace their names. We have been learning about the four basic shapes, square, triangle, circle, and the rectangle. The children have traced the shapes, colored the shapes, and matched the shapes. Most of the children can recognize the four basic shapes.
The Preschool hosted the first Senior Luncheon of the year and sixty-one people fellowshipped as we enjoyed a menu of chicken salad, potato salad, deviled eggs, sandwiches, salads, fruits, and desserts prepared and served by the Baum Gibbs Circle of the church. The Preschoolers sang a collection of songs including “Mr. Sun”, “Jesus Loves Me”, “Jesus Loves the Little Children”, and “If You Are Happy and You Know It”. The Preschoolers led the guests in our sung grace, “God Our Father”. The children were given an opportunity to fellowship with the parents and grandparents of the Preschoolers and the members of our church. Pastor Jerome was in attendance and it gave him a chance to get to know our parents and Preschoolers. God continues to bless the Preschool ministry as we reach out. If you didn’t attend our last luncheon, the Pre-School would like to invite you to the October one. Come and be blessed by these children.
